Deep Tissue Massage

If you are searching for the most effective Deep Tissue Massage in O’Fallon MO, you are in the right place. Our expert massage therapists love helping people like you discover the peace and ease they need.

What is Deep Tissue Massage?

Deep Tissue massage is the application of therapeutic touch that begins with light pressure and gradually increases. The intent is to encourage the superficial soft tissues to relax so deeper muscle structures may be palpated. The goal of this process is to encourage the central nervous system to trust the touch of the massage therapist. As a result, this prevents the muscles from contracting as a defense response and enables the therapist to effectively alleviate a client’s pain and discomfort.

Is Deep Tissue Massage Firm Pressure?

It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. Deep Tissue Massage is a huge family of techniques, styles and approaches. At Jennifer Brand Spa in O’Fallon MO, we assume firm pressure is the desired expectation when you schedule this service.

What is Firm Pressure?

Firm pressure is a subjective experience. What some may consider light pressure, others may call firm, and what some may consider firm others may describe as light. At Jennifer Brand we test our therapist’s pressure based on our own scale to determine if most people would consider the therapist’s application of touch firm. A therapist must pass this pressure test to be bookable for Deep Tissue Massage.

How are our Deep Tissue Massages different?

Our goal is to help you feel heavenly. We want you to experience an adventure of peace and pleasure every second of your session. To achieve this requires an unparalleled attention to detail and that is exactly what you will receive while under our care.

Deep Tissue Massage
  • At Jennifer Brand Spa we believe Deep Tissue massage is a family of modalities, a philosophy and the application of firm pressure. This means our therapists possess more training and education in regard to the application of Deep Tissue than most massage therapists. As a result, it increases the likelihood you will receive the pain relief you need.
  • Our therapists communicate throughout the session to ensure your experience remains rewarding. The purpose of this communication is more than general chit-chat about our cat, it is a means to ensure you feel comfortable, safe and heard throughout the session.
  • All of our therapists have their own approach to Deep Tissue Massage based on their training, style and specialty. Some therapists may use specialty tools, while others may utilize advanced stretching techniques and tapotement. For example, in Shawn White’s Deep Tissue Massage sessions he likes to use heated bamboo, hot and cold stones, ice and scrapping tools. Connor enjoys using advanced stretching techniques, and some Thai Yoga therapy. Rebecca often uses hot stones, cupping and scrapping tools in her sessions. These tools are used as therapist deems necessary for a given area and are not the same as purchasing them as an add-on.
  • Our Deep Tissue Massage sessions may include Trigger Point Therapy, Hot Stones, Scrapping Tools, Stretching, Myofascial Release, Cupping, Cold Stones and Ice, and Cold Packs. Discuss with your therapist to learn what their Deep Tissue Massage session may typically entail.
  • We use the silkiest sheets and the softest blankets. Our competitors normally use medical grade sheets that are rough and provide the lowest degree of comfort. When it’s time to receive a massage, every second should be sensational, especially that first moment when you slide between the sheets. When you are at our spa, we want you to feel magnificent every moment of your massage.
  • If you enjoy the heart soothing warmth of a hot towel or pack on your back, we have you covered. This is included within your Swedish Massage session, because we know how wonderful it feels to be warm and cozy throughout the massage. Some of our competitors charge for a hot towel, and many do not even offer warm packs. We want you to feel wonderful, so including this simple pleasure into your session is just one way we can help make your day great.
  • Our one-hour massages are a full 60-minutes. The big-name locations throughout O’Fallon provide a maximum of 50 minutes in each session, sometimes less if the therapist starts late or ends early. Our honest and transparent service policy applies to our 90-minute massage sessions as well, because we believe you deserve the service time you have paid for.
  • All of our therapists provide a customized massage session. No two treatment sessions are ever the same. This is because your needs change from visit to visit and so too should your massage.
  • Our therapists specialize in various massage modalities. This means you will experience techniques and approaches you probably have never experienced before. This opens the doorway for you to enjoy new sensations and greater results. Some therapists may even include a sampling of various add-ons into your treatment for free. Shawn, for example, often includes the application of hot stones in focused areas, hot bamboo, and he may even paint you with hot oil at the start of your Swedish Massage.
  • We use the highest quality oil, creams, and lotions. Some therapists may even use cocoa butter, shea butter and an array of liniments. At Jennifer Brand we provide our therapists with the ability to customize their massage sessions to meet the needs of their unique style and your needs as our valued guest.
  • All of our massage tables are custom designed by Custom Craftworks, a United States manufacturing company dedicated to providing the highest quality and comfortable treatment tables in the industry.  When you lay on one of our tables you will experience the difference.
